Regional Sales Director

We have an affordable way to solve America’s emergency communications problems and improve emergency preparedness.  In fact, Mutualink was used by numerous law enforcement agencies working together at President Obama’s inauguration.  That’s how sure we are.   Mutualink is an affordable, revolutionary interoperable emergency communications solution that links police, fire, schools, hospitals and other critical assets together into seamless community-wide emergency preparedness networks.  We are looking for a professional sales leader who sees our vision and who has the motivation and belief that they can help us transform America.  The Regional Sales Director will be responsible for sales generation within their assigned region through the Company’s unique and proven viral community building process.  The ideal candidate must have the ability and experience to confidently engage state officials, mayors and other elected officials, public safety chiefs and other key community leaders and present and sell a transformative vision.  The candidate must understand and be able to confidently use technology, and have a proven record of sales productivity and leadership.  This position is ideal for the individual who enjoys the art of selling and would like to make a positive change in their careers while making a lasting contribution to improving America’s community safety and emergency preparedness in a way that can save lives

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years in direct sales account generation and management
  • Government or large enterprise technology sales experience a plus
  • Sales experience in the emergency management, security, defense, public safety, or law enforcement, fire or health fields a plus
  • Exceptional verbal and written communications, and presentation, skills required
  • Computer proficiency required, including use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and a working knowledge of internet based technology concepts is preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college with a degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Computer Technology, Emergency Management, Government or Public Affairs or related field preferred
  • The candidate must not have any prior criminal history or have been the subject of any governmental order or decree terminating or suspending any security clearance or license, or barring the candidate from conducting business with any governmental entity or within any jurisdiction. 

Responsibilities:

  • Becoming a raving fan of Mutualink’s solution; eating, drinking and living Mutualink and all things emergency preparedness; and knowing you can transform America and make more people safe if you could only reach them faster still
  • Developing and closing sale opportunities within the assigned region by working with federal, state and local government leaders, public safety agencies, hospitals, schools and others with complete confidence and the knowledge you are selling something important
  • Consistently tracking your great results and creating management level reports and analysis
  • Learning Mutualink’s product, its offerings and competently using the technology (because it’s simple to use, yet incredibly powerful)
  • Assisting with customer site surveys, support and training because you love our customers and you want to help them
  • Attending tradeshows and industry conferences with a smile and enthusiasm
  • Speaking to local community groups and attending various public safety meetings and sharing an exciting vision
  • Understanding and working with government grant programs to help our customers invest in their future
  • Working with public affairs and government relations representatives to spread the word about our great work

Compensation:

  • Competitive base salary and sales based commissions

Senior Embedded C++ Software Engineer

Description: 
We are seeking a best-in-class Embedded C++ Software Engineer to join our innovative and dynamic team. The ideal candidate will thrive in a small startup environment and be comfortable playing several roles at the same time.  

You will be responsible for the following:

  • Design and implementation of features of our voice-over-IP (VoIP) and video-over-IP products
  • Developing software to integrate with devices such as two-way radios.
  • Integrating third-party software with the core product
  • Assisting with field support and troubleshooting

Qualifications:

  • 5-8 years of real-time C++ software development experience
  • Skilled with current object-oriented architecture (OOA) and design (OOD) methodologies and tools.
  • Hands-on design and development experience in Linux and real-time embedded systems
  • Knowledge of network protocols and IP network architecture & design
  • Proficiency with voice-over-IP and video-over-IP protocols preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • US citizenship or permanent residency status required
  • BS CS/EE or equivalent required, MS CS/EE or equivalent preferred

Senior Support Engineer

Description: 
We are seeking a best-in-class Senior Support Engineer to join our fun, innovative, and dynamic team. You will be responsible for the following:

  • Leading investigations of support issues by gathering information, executing hands-on troubleshooting, and performing root cause analysis. Taking ownership of these events and driving them to a complete resolution.
  • Documenting support cases and further enhancing our knowledge base
  • Developing and improving support system tools, user/administrator guides, and other online resources to deliver technical solutions & training
  • Responding to requests for support and being on call for urgent customer issues
  • Building & refining support processes and helping to institute best practices

Qualifications:

  • 7 years prior experience in support roles of increasing responsibility
  • Bona fide linux skills (a certain level of comfort working with a bash shell, SSH, etc)
  • A thorough understanding of IP networking and routing (including VLANs,VPNs, & multicast)
  • An ability to deliver superior customer service
  • Must be able to thrive in a fast paced, interrupt driven environment while handling multiple concurrent tasks
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Critical attention to detail is a must
  • Scripting, Voice over IP (VoIP), and IP video experience a definite plus
  • 4 year college degree is strongly preferred

Wallingford, CT Openings

The following positions are located in the Wallingford, CT facility.

Sr. Radio / Wireless Technician / System Engineer

Description: 
Radio/Wireless Technicians / System Engineers are responsible for the implementation, deployment and successful integration of public safety radio communications networks.  The ideal candidate will also have substantial bench and component level experience and demonstrable success interfacing with customers.  The position requires domestic travel.  Experience designing installing and maintaining public safety radio systems is a prerequisite. 

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Five years+ experience designing and deploying public safety radio communication systems
  • Good working knowledge of public safety two way radio systems (including conventional, SmartNet/SmartZone, EDACS, and LTR-Net) and dispatch console systems
  • Working knowledge of IP networks and Linux systems (VoIP a plus)
  • Working knowledge of FDMA, TDM, FSK, FM, AM, Spread Spectrum, RS232, RS449, V.35, T1/T3
  • Good working knowledge of BERT test sets, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, network analyzers, communications monitors, and transmission test sets
  • Ability to quickly grasp new products and technologies.
  • Ability to read schematics.
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • FCC and APCO Certifications a plus
  • Multiplexer and microwave experience and tower site work/grounding experience a plus.
  • 4-year college degree is preferred.

Sr. IP Network System Engineer

Description: 
Sr. IP Network System Engineer is responsible for the implementation, deployment and successful integration of public safety radio communications networks.  The ideal candidate will also have substantial IP Networking experience and demonstrable success interfacing with customers.  The position requires domestic travel.  Experience designing, installing and maintaining IP Networks is a prerequisite. Experience with public safety radio systems is a plus.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Five years+ experience designing and deploying IP Networks
  • Good working knowledge of IP Networking, especially IP VPN networks (including MPLS, IP SEC tunneling, Multicasting, PIM Sparse Mode, QoS, DiffServ protocol, VPN/tunnel terminations, routers, servers and firewalls)
  • Experience with setting up/configuring routers, servers, firewalls
  • Working knowledge of IP networks and Linux systems (VoIP a plus)
  • Working knowledge of TDM, DSL, RS232, V.35, T1/T3
  • Working knowledge of setting up IP VPN tunnels through existing network connections (regardless of ISP)
  • Ability to quickly grasp new products and technologies.
  • Ability to read and create network diagrams and documentation.
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • IP Networking, IT and/or Cisco certifications is a plus
  • 4-year college degree is preferred.
