The following positions are located in the Wallingford, CT facility.

Sr. Radio / Wireless Technician / System Engineer

Description: 
Radio/Wireless Technicians / System Engineers are responsible for the implementation, deployment and successful integration of public safety radio communications networks.  The ideal candidate will also have substantial bench and component level experience and demonstrable success interfacing with customers.  The position requires domestic travel.  Experience designing installing and maintaining public safety radio systems is a prerequisite. 

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Five years+ experience designing and deploying public safety radio communication systems
  • Good working knowledge of public safety two way radio systems (including conventional, SmartNet/SmartZone, EDACS, and LTR-Net) and dispatch console systems
  • Working knowledge of IP networks and Linux systems (VoIP a plus)
  • Working knowledge of FDMA, TDM, FSK, FM, AM, Spread Spectrum, RS232, RS449, V.35, T1/T3
  • Good working knowledge of BERT test sets, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, network analyzers, communications monitors, and transmission test sets
  • Ability to quickly grasp new products and technologies.
  • Ability to read schematics.
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • FCC and APCO Certifications a plus
  • Multiplexer and microwave experience and tower site work/grounding experience a plus.
  • 4-year college degree is preferred.

Sr. IP Network System Engineer

Description: 
Sr. IP Network System Engineer is responsible for the implementation, deployment and successful integration of public safety radio communications networks.  The ideal candidate will also have substantial IP Networking experience and demonstrable success interfacing with customers.  The position requires domestic travel.  Experience designing, installing and maintaining IP Networks is a prerequisite. Experience with public safety radio systems is a plus.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Five years+ experience designing and deploying IP Networks
  • Good working knowledge of IP Networking, especially IP VPN networks (including MPLS, IP SEC tunneling, Multicasting, PIM Sparse Mode, QoS, DiffServ protocol, VPN/tunnel terminations, routers, servers and firewalls)
  • Experience with setting up/configuring routers, servers, firewalls
  • Working knowledge of IP networks and Linux systems (VoIP a plus)
  • Working knowledge of TDM, DSL, RS232, V.35, T1/T3
  • Working knowledge of setting up IP VPN tunnels through existing network connections (regardless of ISP)
  • Ability to quickly grasp new products and technologies.
  • Ability to read and create network diagrams and documentation.
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • IP Networking, IT and/or Cisco certifications is a plus
  • 4-year college degree is preferred.
